Midrand Christen Gemeente (MCG) is a church planted by Midrand Chapel in 2008 to reach the Afrikaans community of Midrand and Centurion. While many Afrikaners attend church and profess to love God, there seems to be little obedience to his commands. MCG seeks to address this problem by proclaiming a biblical gospel, which translates into changed lives through the grace of God. Therefore, the church places great emphasis on discipleship and practically teaching believers to obey the Lord.
MCG is an evangelical and protestant church, which holds to a literal grammatical historical hermeneutic in interpreting God’s word. The church is governed by a plurality of Elders. Frank de Wet, a graduate of Christ Seminary in Polokwane is the main teaching pastor. Duan du Toit is currently busy with BTh at Christ Seminary and will join the eldership upon completion.
