Kitwe Church exists to glorify God by making gospel-centered, reproducing disciples of Jesus Christ.
Kitwe Church began in February 2014 as an apologetics Bible study targeting people not being reached by any other church in Kitwe. From that beginning, God has been at work establishing his church. After two years of evangelistic growth and discipleship, Kitwe Church was officially chartered in April 2016.
Our goal is to teach the Word of God faithfully, invite people to believe in Jesus, and help them live for him. We regularly have 13–16 different nationalities worshipping together on Sunday. Kitwe Church exhibits a genuinely loving atmosphere where both singles and families can know truth, love God, and serve others.
Our core values include a commitment to authentic worship, Christian community, committed discipleship, intentional evangelism, scriptural truth, mercy and compassion, evident faith, commitment to holiness, eternally-minded stewardship, and purposeful multiplication.
Our vision is to spread the gospel and see healthy churches planted across Africa. In August we will begin a Sunday morning apologetics Bible study 54km northwest of Kitwe in the city of Chingola. This has been a venue for a small group Bible study that has met fortnightly for the past year. As God continues to lead and people come to Christ, we anticipate this Chingola outreach becoming our first church plant.
Fulfilling the Great Commission is one of the goals of Kitwe Church. To that end, we are intentional in our efforts to train and send missionaries from Kitwe Church. We are also committed to partnerships with other likeminded churches in Africa to send missionaries to advance the gospel and plant churches across Africa.
