The Vision
The vision is to glorify God by revitalising a gospel-centred, doctrinally sound, and missionally active local church that proclaims Christ in Dar es Salaam.
Oasis Baptist Church, established in 2004, sits strategically positioned near a major bus terminal and 10+ universities. With an existing building, auditorium, and manse, plus 17 committed members and 40 regular attendees, this church has incredible potential. It just needs pastoral leadership to unlock it.
The Leader
Gideon Mpeni is married to Chiletso with children Jeremiah and Josie. He currently serves as a pastor at Kitwe Church, Zambia, and Dean of Students at Central Africa Baptist University. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree (honours) in Theology from South African Theological Seminary and a Bachelor’s in Theology from Christ Baptist Seminary.
