We pray this Sunday for Glorious Gospel Christian Fellowship (GGCF) in South Africa, where Tshepo Laka serves as pastor-teacher. Here is how to pray for the church.
- Pray that the Lord Jesus Christ will guide the church’s steps as they continue to work on systems to evangelise, invite and retain visitors, and disciple and integrate new members seamlessly.
- Pray for unity of mind and mission (especially in the eldership) as they continue to work and pray for numerical growth in the church.
- Pray for boldness for every member to share the gospel, invite, and pray for people in their circles.
- Pray for God to impact the community through the church and for church members to therefore embrace a mindset of self-emptying as Jesus Christ did (Philippians 2:5–7).
- Pray for God to help the church develop a discipleship model of investing in people and not using them (John 13:14–15).
- Pray that God will use the church reach the lost since “the harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few.” Pray that the Lord of the harvest will send labourers into his harvest.
- Pray for a responsible and God-fearing Youth Brigade.
