Trinity Bible Church’s planting work is located in the southeastern part of Lilongwe City, in Area 38, where the congregation currently gathers at Kortesia Lodge Main Hall. The church seeks to reach the surrounding community with the gospel while extending its ministry to two nearby college campuses through regular Bible studies. Now in its first two years, the church’s primary focus has been evangelism, discipleship, and the intentional development of future leaders.
The Vision
The vision is to see the church firmly established through a plurality of qualified elders, a growing culture of disciple-making, and an increasingly effective gospel witness in the local community and on the university campuses, becoming a healthy, Christ-centred church that equips believers for ministry and faithfully proclaims the gospel to the next generation.
The Team
Emmanuel Mpeni serves as church planter. Since planting the church, he has preached consecutively through the book of 1 Timothy, a series that has shaped many aspects of church life, including prayer in corporate worship, the biblical role of women in the church, and the character and qualifications of elders. He is currently leading a series titled Life Together on the New Testament’s “one another” commands, with a study of Ephesians planned to follow.
