Reformation Bible Church (RBC) is a church plant of Living Hope Church in Pretoria. The church is pastored by Newton Chilingulo, a native Malawian, who served for a time as an elder at Living Hope Church before returning to the land of his birth with a desire to plant a church there.

RBC was founded by Pastor Newton after inheriting the work from Pastor Frank Maxson. Then, the work was known as Reformation Fellowship. RBC owes a huge debt of gratitude for the foundation the Maxsons laid. Pastor Newton retained the name Reformation because it summarises the vision of what the church would like to see: biblical transformation.

RBC would like to see lives impacted and lives impacting others on a daily basis. Our model for ministry is our Master himself: Jesus Christ. He not only instructed, but lived out his life before his disciples.

After some time there, Pastor Newton suggested to change the name from Reformation Fellowship to Reformation Bible Church. RBC is a church whose sole authority is the Bible. We strive to teach and live it out. That is why we have put the word “Bible” in our church’s name.

RBC is c church committed to expository preaching: carefully and accurately teaching God’s word—the Bible—and applying it to life. Our mission is to preach the gospel and make disciples of Jesus Christ in all nations, while teaching God’s people all that Christ commanded.

There is much to be encouraged about at Reformation Bible Church. God is at work through the Chilingulos the church. The word is being faithfully preached. Men and women are being discipled and are growing spiritually. Evangelism is taking place through multiple avenues, and God has used the ministry of this church to bring people to saving faith. The Lord has provided Reformation Bible Church with godly men to serve in leadership alongside Newton, as well as a core group of lay people who are serving faithfully in the church. There is much to praise God for!
