Dear brethren,

Greeting in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I am grateful that you are taking time to read my report on how God is working in our ministry his wonders to perform.

Family Life

I thank the Lord for keeping our family safe and for providing for us. Our little one has been in and out of hospital first because doctors was worried about his slow growth and lastly he landed up there because of a chest infection. He is back home now and we thank God that he is getting better.

Ministry Report

We had the opportunity to provide a few people with work cleaning around the church building and this created some ministry opportunities and we could form some new friendships with people living around the building.

Currently, we are struggling with two rival gangs that are using the premises for gang fights and occasionally they will come there to gamble in the shade or to drink and do drugs. As terrible as it may seem, these incidents have provided me with many ministry opportunities to point them to Christ. Every time I catch them on the property they would sincerely apologise—but not for long. I would find them there again. I sometime see on their faces that they are weary with me preaching and warning them over and over. In my heart, I hope they realise that they cannot change by themselves and that they need a Saviour. I thank God for being merciful to them and that none of them had been killed yet. May the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience lead them to repentance!

Please pray for me and the men in the church to reflect the mercy of God as we deal with these precious souls. Pray for us that we do not grow weary and even bitter toward them but that we will see God’s plan and be aware of his grace at all times. We were once amongst those who spew violence at the saints of God, dead in our sin and trespasses. This we must never forget! But God being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace we have been saved. Amen! Pray for us that our words be seasoned with salt and that those who listen to us may find grace.

Prayer Requests

  1. Please pray that the youth of Bellville South will come to saving faith in Jesus Christ.
  2. Pray that the Lord will give us more zeal and compassion to faithfully proclaim his word in difficult areas.
  3. Pray that the Lord will turn every altercation with the gangs in our area into gospel opportunities.
  4. Pray that I will lead my wife and my family well.
  5. Pray for our plans to erect a wall around the building to be successful.

Thank you for taking time to read this brief report.

“For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!” (1 Corinthians 9:16)
