Dear brethren,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I am grateful that you are taking time to read my report on how God is working in our ministry his wonders to perform.

Family

The month of August is the birthday of two special people in my life: my Jenna and Melanchthon, who celebrated his very first birthday. Along with them, we had about seven other birthdays in the church for the month of August.

Ministry

The gentleman in the picture is one of guys that I am taking through the workbooks of Paul Washer. We started with Discerning the Plight of Man. The brother in picture use to be part of a gang operating in one of the most notorious areas on the Cape Flats. Some of the men in our church are walking a path with him since the beginning of March this year. You will remember him from my February report.

Theo and I are currently taking some of the young believers with us on a Friday to witness to unbelievers in sharing the gospel. These guys are very excited and nervous at the same time. Please pray for us—for faithfulness and discipline—as we go out each week.

Prayer Requests

  1. Pray that God will sanctify the young believers in our church and help them to live holy lives.
  2. Thank the Lord with us that we see nobody using the church premises as a place to gamble or to do drugs anymore.
  3. Pray that God will open a door for the word during weekly Friday outreach.
  4. Pray that the Lord will raise up more elders in the church.

Thank you for taking time to read this brief report.

“For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!” (1 Corinthians 9:16)

Yours in his service,
