Dear brethren,

Greeting in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. I am grateful that you are taking time to read my report on how God is working in our ministry his wonders to perform.

The Lord has been good to us this past month. We have gone through some challenges both financially and health wise, but the Lord kept us as we learned to be faithful stewards of what his grace provided. We have experienced the Lord’s provision in so many ways.

The book Gentle and Lowly by Dane Ortlund has become our favourite book. We are currently working through it as a family. I trust that Christ will become more and more attractive to Zoe and Reldine and that they will come to saving faith in him as they learn about his heart for sinners and sufferers. Please keep us in your prayers.

Ever since we have purchased the church building not far away from where I live, I made it my habit to every once and a while go there to look for some ministry opportunities. I recently spoke to a bunch of young people there. Besides sharing the gospel, we spoke about abortion, drug abuse, and various challenges they are facing growing up in Bellville South. Please keep these youth in your prayers (Decklin, Curtlee, Laurenzo, Waylin, Stacy, and Lezaan). They really seemed desperate. They asked questions like, “How do we escape the temptations we face?” and, “How can we change our heart condition?” These questions came as a result of them realising their sinful state. I shared Christ over and over, trusting that the Holy Spirit will draw them.

Prayer Requests

  1. Please pray that the youth of Bellville South will come to saving faith in Jesus Christ.
  2. Pray that the Lord will give us more zeal and compassion to faithfully proclaim his word in difficult areas.
  3. Pray for our spiritual growth, for me, Jenna and our church family.

Thank you for taking time to read this brief report.

“For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!” (1 Corinthians 9:16)

Yours in his service,
