Status
In process
Kabanana Faith Baptist Church is an autonomous Reformed Baptist church located in Kabanana Township, one of the most densely populated communities on the northeastern outskirts of Lusaka, Zambia. The church was planted eighteen years ago by Kabwata Baptist Church, with Pastor Curtis Chirwa serving as its missionary pastor. The church became autonomous in 2015 and called Pastor Chirwa to continue as its pastor.
The Vision
Kabanana Faith Baptist Church is committed to planting healthy, gospel-centred churches in underserved townships, compounds, and rural communities throughout Zambia. To support this vision, the church launched a pastoral internship program in 2022, training two to three men each year for pastoral ministry and church planting in peri-urban mission fields. By God’s grace, this ministry has already resulted in three church plants: Zanimuone West Reformed Baptist Church and Kabanana Mai Chola Reformed Baptist Church in 2023, and Misisi Reformed Baptist Church in 2025.
The Team
Pastor Curtis Chirwa leads the church and its pastoral internship program, together with three men currently preparing for church planting ministry through the internship.
