Dear Sola 5 churches,
We are excited to announce the launch of Heritage Baptist Church (HBC) in Potchefstroom. It has been our desire, especially as a church plant, to be involved in planting other churches and God has graciously opened a door for us in Potchefstroom. We are trusting that God will establish the work of our hands and that there will be much fruit which will redound to his glory forever.
Potchefstroom is a strategic city that is growing in every sphere. It has an abundance of water and electricity, and a well-developed infrastructure. It is known as “the city of expertise” due to the many centres of education—the most well-known being the North-West University with over fifty thousand students. For all this, there is still a desperate need for biblically faithful, English-speaking churches.
Heritage Baptist Church Potchefstroom is not a campus of Heritage Baptist Church in Johannesburg; however, the name was chosen for various reasons. It is a great, biblical, name and it makes financial sense due to economy of scale.
Please pray that the Lord would bless this endeavour, that many would be saved and discipled for God’s glory.
