Our Speaker
Once again, we have the blessing and privilege of hosting Dr. James White, director of Alpha and Omega ministries, a Christian apologetics organisation based in Phoenix, Arizona in the United States. He is the author of more than twenty books, a professor, an accomplished international public debater and lecturer, and an elder of his local church.
The Topic
On Saturday, 19 August, Dr. White will be helping us biblically define and defend three of the five solas of the Protestant Reformation: sola Scriptura, sola gratia, and sola fide. These were the most important, gospel-centered convictions that were rediscovered, heartily embraced and boldly proclaimed during the Reformation. There will be three main sessions of lecture from Dr. White, followed by lengthy times of open Question and Answer in order to best equip us to understand and defend these doctrines from the word of God to those who deny and object to them.
