We pray this week for Grace Baptist Church in Daveyton, South Africa, where Chris Mnguni serves as pastor-teacher. Here is how to pray for the church.
- Praise God for the new venue. Thank God for providing a new venue, which has brought greater stability to the church. It has also created better opportunities for engagement with and reach into the community.
- Pray for the church’s desire to send one of its elders to Kenya. Pray that the Lord would guide the church in preparing for this, and that he will provide everything needed according to his will.
- Pray for the training of men. Pray that the Lord will raise up more godly men who can be trained and eventually serve as elders in the church.
- Pray for evangelistic activities. Every Friday, the church engages intentionally with people in the community. There have been some positive responses, particularly among women and children. Pray that the Lord will grant wisdom and grace to reach the men in the community, and that he will open their hearts to the gospel.
- Pray for the health of Pastor Chris’s family. The health of his wife and daughters continues to be a challenge. His wife was recently diagnosed with scleroderma, and his daughter is suspected to have the same condition. She needs to see a specialist for further examination. Pray for the Lord’s wisdom, strength, grace, and provision as the family navigates these challenges, and that he will grant healing and mercy.
