On Wednesday, 9 August (National Women’s Day in South Africa), Lynnwood Baptist Church and ACBC Africa will be holding a Women’s Day pre-conference in the lead up to the annual ACBC Conference, beginning that same night.
The speaker for the women’s pre-conference will be Dr. Venessa Ellen, who will be speaking on “Why We Need Each Other.” The conference, held at the Lynnwood Baptist Church building, will run from 9:00 AM till noon. There is no cost, but since refreshments will be provided, it is essential to register for the event beforehand.
About the Speaker
Dr Ellen holds a M.A. in Biblical Counselling from The Master’s College, a M.A. in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a PhD in Church Administration and Women’s Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. She serves as the Professor of Women’s Ministry and Program Coordinator at the College of Biblical Studies where she teaches, counsels, trains and mentors women.
